Information Technology Analyst: Saluda County is accepting applications for Information Technology Analyst. Duties include but are not limited to: performs technical duties to assist in troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, testing, and installing computer equipment, peripherals, data communication systems, and network system; receives work orders and responds to inquiries and service requests; assists in designing and implementing computer security; implements emergency procedures in the event of power failures or major system/network failures; develops and manages data backup systems and schedules; designs, manages, and supports the county’s wide area network, local area networks, security camera system, and phone system; assists in developing and implementing department policies and procedures for the efficient and effective management of information technology systems; assists in gathering end-user requirements and determines the overall goals and objectives of the department; develops and oversees the implementation of the county’s technology plan; assists in developing plans to support the county’s technical needs; assists in developing processes and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices; utilizes methodologies for systems implementations; designs or assists with the design of additions and/or improvements to the computing infrastructure, including servers, services, switches, security cameras, and related software; installs computer software, hardware, peripheral equipment and cabling; plans, implements, and installs and county-wide VOIP phone system and assists with management, maintenance, and upgrades to the system; recommends IP phone or softphone capabilities to further the use of IP phones in all county operating areas. Mechanic: Saluda County is accepting applications for Mechanic. Duties include but are not limited to: performing preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment; diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions; making repairs; maintaining vehicle and equipment records to track maintenance intervals and history; scheduling equipment maintenance and repair; welding repairs; fabricating parts; maintaining inventory or parts and supplies; operating various types of shop equipment; operating equipment in support of department operations. Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education; sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position. Paramedic - Saluda County is accepting applications for a Paramedic Crew Chief position with Saluda County EMS. Duties include but are not limited to responding to emergency calls and providing medical assistance to the sick and injured. Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred experience in 911 emergency medical service. Must attend SCEMS CEP/IST program and maintain EMT Paramedic, Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, CPR certifications, and any other mandated courses Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license. E-911 Emergency Dispatcher - Saluda County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for an E-911 Emergency Dispatcher. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must pass a drug screening and background check. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts. Successful candidates will possess good communication and typing skills. If selected, candidates will be required to complete a two-week training course at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, as well as attain a 40 hour NCIC certification. Part-time Recycle Site Attendant: Saluda County is accepting applications for a Part-time Convenience Center Site Attendant. The position includes working under regular supervision, monitors and screens all waste and recyclable materials delivered by residents to County Convenience Centers, ensures the public places materials in proper containers and monitors container volume, and maintains site appearance and safety. Performs related work as required. Reports to Solid Waste Coordinator. Previous work-related skills, training, and experience will be taken into consideration for all applicants. Other requirements include a clear criminal background check and a current motor vehicle driving report. Detention Officer - The Saluda County Detention Center is now accepting applications for a Class 2 Detention Officer position. Qualifications include a clear criminal background and/or driver's history and High School Diploma or GED. Applicant must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
