E-911 Emergency Dispatcher - Saluda County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for an E-911 Emergency Dispatcher. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must pass a drug screening and background check. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts. Successful candidates will possess good communication and typing skills. If selected, candidates will be required to complete a two week training course at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, as well as attain a 40 hour NCIC certification. Family Court Clerk - Saluda County is accepting applications for Family Court Clerk effective January 7, 2019.  Duties include but are not limited to:  Answers telephone and greets visitors; collects fines and fees; receipts and disburses child support payments; balances daily payments; gathers wage withholding information, verifies employment, prepares and sends wage withholding orders, and monitors status; files court documents, maintains cases files, processes incoming mail, notarizes documents, certifies copies; prepares reports, etc.; assists in the courtroom; assists in maintaining and preparing related documents and reports and in filing cases; maintains email correspondence with DSS, custodial, and non-custodial parents; gathers information and prepares reports for Section 8, DSS, and SNAP programs; tracks and monitors addresses, pay histories, and employment for custodial and non-custodial parents; assists the public with real estate searches; prepares and delivers bank deposits. Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. Real Estate Clerk - Saluda County is accepting applications for Real Estate Clerk effective December 3, 2018.  Duties include but are not limited to:  Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; collects fines and fees; Records, receipts, and indexes documents; Receives and screens documents to be recorded; Reviews and corrections previous day’s indexing; Balances cash receipts and prepares daily deposit; Receipts child support and general session payments; Scans documents; Prepares regular reports; Repairs and maintains record books, plat books/slides, and miscellaneous books; Registers Notary Commissions and Military Discharges. Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Equipment Operator: Saluda County is accepting applications for Equipment Operator. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Under general supervision, operates and utilizes a variety of equipment and machinery used to perform skilled and general labor tasks and other duties in the maintenance and construction of roads and bridges. Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs as needed. High school graduate or equivalent with one to two years of experience in operating and utilizing heavy and light equipment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid S.C. Class A Commercial Drivers License and a current health card. Current 10 year driving record must be submitted with application and resume. Part-time Recycle Site Attendant: Saluda County is accepting applications for a Part-time Convenience Center Site Attendant.  Position includes working under regular supervision, monitors and screens all waste and recyclable materials delivered by residents to County Convenience Centers, ensures the public places materials in proper containers and monitors container volume, and maintains site appearance and safety. Performs related work as required. Reports to Solid Waste Coordinator.  Previous work related skills, training, and experience will be taken into consideration for all applicants. Detention Officer - The Saluda County Detention Center is now accepting applications for a Class 2 Detention Officer position.  Qualifications include a clear criminal background and/or driver's history and High School Diploma or GED.  Applicant must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.  Applications and a complete job description can be picked up at the Saluda County Detention Center at 205 E. Church Street, Saluda, SC 29138. EOE
