Saluda County Recycling and Solid Waste Centers serve the entire range of your household waste disposal needs. Household waste may be disposed of in the compactor as you enter the facility. Separate bins are available to accommodate aluminum cans, cardboard, newspaper, plastic containers and other recyclables. Stations for the disposal of used oil, old appliances, and scrap metal are also in place. Yard waste, building material and old furniture items may also be disposed of at the recycling centers; however large volumes of these materials should be taken to the Transfer Station at 14 Transfer Dr. Edgefield, South Carolina, phone # 803-275-5608. Other option would be to deliver to Loveless & Loveless Landfill, 104 Omar Ct. off of Golden Jubilee Rd. in Gilbert, South Carolina, phone # 803-892-5495. Attendants staffing the centers will answer your questions about proper use of the facilities. Putting items in their proper place is a big step toward a cleaner, more attractive Saluda County. Thank you for doing your part.
