Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Public Hearing on 1/13/2020

Saluda County, The Town of Saluda, The Town of Ridge Spring, and the Town of Ward will be holding a public hearing regarding the 5 year updated of the Saluda County Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan at the January meeting of the Saluda County Council on January 13, 2020, at 6:00 PM, in the Saluda County Council Chambers of the Saluda County Administration Building at 400 West Highland Street, Saluda, SC.  A draft of the natural hazard mitigation plan for these jurisdictions is currently available for public review online at www.saludacounty.sc.gov.  Additionally, a copy is available for public review at the Saluda County Emergency Management Division located at 111 Law Enforcement Drive, Saluda, SC 29138.  The mitigation plan serves as a blueprint for reducing property damage and saving lives from the effects of future natural disasters.  This plan is required for Saluda County to be eligible to receive certain types of federal disaster assistance.  Public comments and questions can be directed to the Saluda County Emergency Management Division at (864)445-2529 ext. 2 or by emailing j.morton@saludacounty.sc.gov prior to January 10th, 2019.
