E-911 Emergency Dispatcher - Saluda County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for an E-911 Emergency Dispatcher. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must pass a drug screening and background check. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts. Successful candidates will possess good communication and typing skills. If selected, candidates will be required to complete a two week training course at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, as well as attain a 40 hour NCIC certification. Magistrate Court Clerk: Saluda County is accepting applications for Magistrate Court Clerk. Duties include but are not limited to performing various duties in providing assistance to the Magistrates including processing traffic tickets, processing civil cases, responding to complaints, answering telephone, receipting payments, maintaining records, preparing reports and issuing various civil papers. High school diploma with one to two years of experience in computer skills and data processing, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid SC driver’s license. Detention Officer - The Saluda County Detention Center is now accepting applications for a Class 2 Detention Officer position. Qualifications include a clear criminal background and/or driver's history and High School Diploma or GED. Applicant must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Applications for this position can be picked up at the Saluda County Detention Center at 205 E. Church Street, Saluda, SC 29138. EOE
Paramedic - Saluda County is accepting applications for Paramedic with Saluda County EMS. Duties include but are not limited to responding to emergency calls and providing medical assistance to the sick and injured. Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by three to four years of progressive experience in emergency medical service programs. Must complete required coursework and maintain EMT Paramedic, Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, CPR certifications and any other certifications deemed necessary by department head. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license. A detailed job description is available at the County Council Office or Saluda County EMS.
