IT Director -   Saluda County is accepting applications for Information Technology (IT) Director. Duties include but are not limited to establishing, planning, managing and maintaining the overall policies, goals and resources as they relate to Information Technology (IT) for Saluda County. Analyzes the needs of all County Departments and establishes priorities, feasibility studies, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify County information processing systems while providing overall technology leadership for County government.  Performs related technical and administrative work as required. Plans, organizes and implements programs within major organizational policies, reporting program process to executive-level administration through reports and conferences. Requires Bachelor's degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in the computer science or closely related field. Must possess valid S.C. driver's license. Assistant Emergency Management Director- Saluda County is accepting applications for Assistant Emergency Management Director.  Duties include but are not limited to the following: Assists in planning, coordinating , and administering the Emergency Management program and related services for the County of Saluda to protect the lives and property, and ensure the safety and welfare of county citizens in the event of manmade or natural disasters or other threats to the community's well-being.  Helps, coordinates, and maintains the operations of the department while ensuring adherence to regulations and ordinances pertaining to the program.  Must possess valid S.C. drivers license.  Requires High School education; formal or on-the-job training in planning and coordinating of Emergency Mamagement/E911 operations with three years experience in operations and planning; communications experience or any equivalent combination of training with experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable.  Must be familiar with database management and GIS; must be knowledgeable of the georaphy of Saluda County.  A detailed job description is available at the County Council Office.  Applications along with resume and a ten year driving record may be submitted to the County Council office, 400 West Highland Street, Saluda, S.C. Detention Officer - The Saluda County Detention Center is now accepting applications for a Class 2 Detention Officer position.  Qualifications include a clear criminal background and/or driver's history and High School Diploma or GED.  Applicant must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.  Applications for this position can be picked up at the Saluda County Detention Center at 205 E. Church Street, Saluda, SC 29138. EOE

Paramedic - Saluda County is accepting applications for Paramedic with Saluda County EMS.  Duties include but are not limited to responding to emergency calls and providing medical assistance to the sick and injured.  Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by three to four years of progressive experience in emergency medical service programs. Must complete required coursework and maintain EMT Paramedic, Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, CPR certifications and any other certifications deemed necessary by department head.
