Part-time Library Aide - Saluda County is accepting applications for a Part-time Library Aide working 15-20 hours per week during the months of June 2017 and July 2017.  Position will assist in all functional duties necessary for Library operations, to include but not limited to: Provide summer program support; sort incoming library materials according to classification; re-shelve items to designated areas. Assist public in operating copy machines and OPACs. Provide general library services at circulation desk; register patrons for Internet/Computer use; charge and discharge books and other materials using computer system. Ensure previously shelved selections are in the correct order. Aide the public in finding information within the library. Current 10 year driving record must be submitted with application and resume. Apprentice Appraiser - Saluda County is accepting applications for Apprentice Appraiser. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Under general supervision, is responsible for conducting field reviews and assessing all real property in Saluda County in accordance with the guidelines of the S.C. Department of Revenue. Prepares for field reviews; gathers and analyzes sales and market data; performs various administrative functions for the department; prepares and processes various reports, records and documents. Must possess a valid S.C. Driver’s License. Vocational/technical training in an appraisal field with one to two years of experience in a related real estate field, preferably in tax assessment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess proper apprentice license within two years from the date of hire and pass South Carolina State Exam. Must possess a valid S.C. driver’s license. Library Director - Saluda County is accepting applications for Saluda County Library Director. Duties include but are not limited to planning, coordinating, and supervising the Saluda County Library System, including the administration and financial responsibility, and is responsible to the Saluda County Library Board for implementing policies and services; Must have Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) from a graduate library program accredited by the American Library Association and at least one year of professional library experience, preferably in a public library, and with some administrative and/or managerial/supervisory experience in almost any field of endeavor. Must be eligible for or possess a professional certificate from the SC State Library and must have a valid South Carolina driver's license. Library Assistant - Performs duties relating to the daily management of the library system, including, but not limited to, circulation, reference, collection development, and reader advisory as requested by the Director; Operates and uses various equipment including a PC, server, printer, copier, fax machine and microfilm reader-printer; Provides input to the Director as requested with respect to the selection of all library materials, both print and non-print; Catalogs and processes library materials, both print and non-print, as required; Performs maintenance and backup functions for library computer system and public access computers. High school diploma and one to two years experience in a related field working with the public and teaching young children, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Detention Officer - The Saluda County Detention Center is now accepting applications for a Class 2 Detention Officer position.  Qualifications include a clear criminal background and/or driver's history and High School Diploma or GED.  Applicant must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.  Applications for this position can be picked up at the Saluda County Detention Center at 205 E. Church Street, Saluda, SC 29138. EOE
